The hotly tipped Blanche McIntyre, named Most Promising Newcomer at the 2012 Critics' Circle Theatre Awards, directs John Donnelly's 'dynamic modern' adaptation of the Chekhov classic for Headlong. This touring production may not arrive on a scene exactly short of Chekhov revivals, but the component parts are highly promising.
