Music director Andrew Charity brings an international cast of rising opera stars and a chorus of 15 to Limehouse, East London, for a site-specific 'guerilla opera'. An adaptation of Gian-Carlo Menotti's Pulitzer Prize winning 1950 music drama addressing the bureaucracy of immigration against a backdrop of Kafkaesque officialdom. ('The Secret Consul' is the third in a series of site-specific performances entitled 'A Whole World at War' from The Wedding Collective, led by Artistic Director Stephen Tiller.)
