One of the quirkier entries in Classic Spring's Oscar Wilde season, ‘The Selfish Giant’ is a ‘family-friendly folk opera’ from Robbie Williams's former writing partner Guy Chambers. It's adapted from Wilde's story about a giant who refuses to let the local children play in his beautiful garden, and is directed by Bill Buckhurst, who shot to fame with Tooting Arts Club's famous ‘pie shop’ ‘Sweeney Todd’.
