The Albany’s Christrmas show is a gentle family-friendly take on Hans Christian Andersen’s classic fairytale. By the sounds of it, it cleaves a lot more closely to the original plot than its most famous adapation, Disney’s Frozen… accepting that it’s set in a wood and all the characters are animals, notably plucky Gerda (a mouse), who must save her best friend Kai after he’s turned to ice by the Snow Queen (a snow leopard). The puppet based show comes from Icon Theatre, and we’re promised/warned that there will be some interactive elements. For ages three-plus.
