The Truth About Blayds

AA Milne is, of course, remembered for his immortal Winnie the Pooh children’s books. Less well remembered is the fact that he was essentially a playwright until he diversified into kids’ literature. Here’s a classic Finborough project: the first revival in over a century for Milne’s 1921 comedy The Truth About Blayds. It concerns Oliver Blayds – a celebrated poet who is turning 90 and now weighing up telling the world that he didn’t actually write the poems that he made his name with. David Gilmore directs.
