Time Out says

Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson made his London stage debut in last year’s Here We Are at the National Theatre and seemingly can’t get enough of us: he spent the start of the summer as the first ‘guest’ Herod in the West End’s Jesus Christ Superstar. Now he’s back with Tru, a revival of Jay Presson Allen’s one man bio-drama about Truman Capote, that follows the legendary writer while down on his luck after alienating most of his socialite friends via an ill-advised short story send up of them in Esquire. In New York, Ferguson’s take on Tru got solid reviews that were slightly tempered by the extreme ticket price: it was staged in the spectacular library of Gilded Age mansion House of the Redeemer. Here it’ll just be at the good ol’ Menier: still intimate, but at a more reasonable price. Rob Ashford directs.
