Daniel Slater mounts his new production of Tchaikovsky's 'lyrical scenes' based on the novel in verse by Alexander Pushkin. A young dandy, dulled by pleasure and excess, lives to regret his blasé rejection of the love of a young woman, and his callous treatment of his best friend has tragic consequences. The soprano Anna Leese (Tatyana) stars alongside baritone Mark Stone (Onegin) and tenor Peter Auty (Lensky). Alexander Polianichko conducts the City of London Sinfonia.
