Action for Children’s Secret Santa’s Giving Grotto

If you would rather teach your kids some lessons about Christmas that don’t revolve around all the empty consumerism of the season, Action for Children is opening a Santa’s grotto with a pleasing difference. Unlike a traditional grotto, this Saint Nick hideout will let children become ‘secret santas’. Instead of receiving a gift, they’ll get to pick a gift and send it to another child in need. The presents range from warm winter clothing to a cosy bed and each item has been carefully chosen to give vulnerable kids what they need most. Children will be rewarded for their generosity. Each little one that gives a donation will get a shot with Santa, a thank you letter and a badge.
