Artificial Intelligence and Robotics

Can we build robots that are intelligent? Professor Peter McOwan, of Queen Mary College, will attempt to answer the question during a talk that's aimed primarily at sixth formers but is open to all. McOwan will also discuss the effects that intelligent robots may have on society and his work on the EU funded project LIREC to develop synthetic companions.
