Time Out says

The Zoological Society of London is calling for man's best friends to declare a truce and forget their rivalry against moggies in order to raise some money for their larger endangered cousins. This 2.5km sponsored pooch parade will take place in Battersea Park with all proceeds going towards saving Asiatic lions in the wild, and to creating a new breeding centre and exhibit at ZSL London Zoo. Currently only around 400 of these felines are left, living in a small patch of the Gir Forest in India. There are 300 places on the walk, which must be booked in advance online. On the day registration will take place between 9.15 and 9.45 with pups setting off from 10am onwards. Each dog is asked to raise a minimum of £40 sponsorship and can bring up to four accompanying humans with them. Doggy bags, and a medal, will be provided for furry fundraisers at the finish line.
