Bauhaus by Day, Bauhaus by Night

Time Out says

The Barbican Art Gallery invites visitors to celebrate the spirit of the Bauhaus (the school in Germany that combined crafts and the fine arts) with a day of festivities including family-friendly workshops, a performance lecture (6-7.30pm), a book launch (2-3pm) and a Bauhaus Costume Party (8pm-midnight). Inspired by the puppets Bauhaus Master Paul Klee created for his son Felix, Bauhaus stage expert Melissa Trimingham encourages visitors to make their own hand puppet using found material (12-2pm and 3.30-6pm). Kite-making workshops with specialist Karl Longbottom teach visitors how to build kites and echo the Bauhaus's own kite festivals (12-2pm and 3.30-6pm). Visitors use Le Corbusier's Five Points of Architecture to create their own lego city (12-2pm and 3.30-6pm). And designer Fred Butler, whose clients include Lady Gaga and Björk, leads an accessory making drop-in session (6.30-8.30pm).
