Launched in the summer of 2014, this open-air performing arts space in the middle of Hounslow's regenerated town centre hosts free events including circus, dance and music.
The outdoor theatre season wraps up with this intriguing free mini festival of Polish works, staged in Bell Square under the auspices of Hounslow’s Watermans arts centre.
The festival was developed in collaboration with Kraków’s well-regarded Teatr TKO, who will be staging the world premiere of its new show Bal (The Ball), alongside five other companies. We can attest that having seen Teatr Biuro Podróży’s punchy one hour take on The Tempest this summer, it’s excellent.Â
The full line-up is as follows:Â
Sep 5 and 6 – BAL (The Ball) – ‘A tale written in steps. One night, one dance floor and hundreds of stories. Which one will you dance?’
Sep 6 and 7 – DROM (In the Footsteps of the Roma) – wordless show based on Roma music from around the world.
Sep 12 and 13 - Lost Dream – ‘A performance dedicated to all the hungry in the world’
Sep 14 - Monsieur Charlie – A charming physical theatre tribute to Charlie Chaplin.
Sep 19 and 20 – The Tempest - Teatr Biuro Podróży bold and disturbing rewrite of Shakespeare’s great late play.
Sep 21 – Sztetl – dance theatre show telling the story of the Konin Jewish community.
