Black Georgians: The Shock of the Familiar

An exhibition of historical evidence telling the story of black people in Britain during the Georgian period. While there was a great deal of oppression and restriction, parts of the community did have a degree of social mobility and integration, and the story is part shocking, part inspiring. The event is part of Black History Month.
