Don’t let anyone tell you that yoga can’t be a genuinely challenging workout. The lunchtime Dynamic Vinyasa Flow class at this gorgeous Peckham studio is an uptempo, continuous sequence of postures set to music. Thankfully, you get a refreshing meditation session at the end. Kobox

No memberships, no sign-up fees, just 50 minutes of high-intensity boxing in what looks more like a UV-lit nightclub than a gym. Your boxing instructions are given to you by numbers flashing on the wall – how’s that for getting lit at lunchtime? Studios at Chelsea, Marylebone, City. Times and prices vary.

It’s an ingenious concept: you commit to running to and from a place where you do a good deed… and boom, you’ve made someone happier, and yourself fitter.
