Bestival’s kid-friendly sister event Camp Bestival is missing the outdoors, so its co-founder has decided to launch its first-ever virtual festival: the Stay at Home Easter Sleepover. Good news for parents crowd-controlling extremely bored children: it’s all very family friendly. One of the headliners is none other than Kate Winslet, who’ll be doing a streamed storytime session. It’ll also be hosting ten-year-old Nelly Cook’s debut DJ set, with a little help from her dad Fatboy Slim.
The Camp Bestival Insta and Facebook will be packed with back-to-back streams for the whole weekend, with an Aardman Model Making Workshop, a Mr Motivator workout, mud pie making, a fancy dress superhero mission and circus skills with Bigtopmania.
For parents who want some nostalgia of their own that doesn’t involve mud pies and bubbles, there’ll be a garden party session full of 1980s tunes from Sarah Cox.
Now you just need some bunting and you’re in business. The festival business!
