When Elvis burst onto the scene in the buttoned-up 1950s, the world was scandalised and thrilled in equal measure. This rock'n'roll star was a true original, winning the nickname ‘Elvis the Pelvis’ for his hip-thrusting moves, while his signature pompadour quiff encouraged generations of fans to plaster their hair in Brylcreem. These days, his image is no longer splashed over every newsstand but his music is immortal. Songs like ‘Hound Dog’, ‘A Little Less Conversation’ and ‘Burning Love’ feel as fresh and urgent as the day they were recorded, living on in movie soundtracks and dancefloors alike. With over a billion records sold, Elvis is everywhere. But how much do you actually know about the man himself?

Find out at Elvis Evolution, a brand new immersive experience that's bringing his story to life. It's the latest London show from Layered Reality, creators of long-running immersive theatre hits Jeff Wayne’s The War of the Worlds: The Immersive Experience and Gunpowder Plot: A Tower of London Immersive Experience. They'll use cutting-edge digital technology and heart pounding music alongside live actors,  musicians and multi-sensory effects to take you through key moments in this legend's life, transporting you from his humble beginnings in Tupelo with best friend Sam Bell to Memphis and Beale St, with behind the scenes glimpses at never before seen moments. The experience's centrepiece is the legendary 1968 gig where Elvis cemented his fame with what's been called the ‘greatest rock performance of all time’.

Elvis Evolution has been made in collaboration with the custodians of the Presley estate, Elvis Presley Enterprises and Authentic Brands Group meaning that it draws on thousands of Elvis’ personal photos and hours of the star’s home videos. Even superfans will see him in a whole new light, with generative AI recreating never-seen-before moments from his story, including glimpses into his dressing room.
