East London has a brand new ice rink this year. Get ready to slip and slide in the newly opened Hopewell Square which will be home to City Island Ice Rink this Christmas. Alongside the skating, there’ll also be a four-day artisan Christmas market (Dec 12-15) where you can pick up Christmas trees and gifts, festive workshops including pre-ice-skating dace warm-ups led by English National Ballet, wreath making, seasonal cocktail masterclasses, wine tasting and more. Look out for the English National Ballet Sinfonietta playing festive tunes, street food and a launch party where the Sinfonietta will perform a ‘The Nutcracker’ themed show and ENB dancers will lead ‘The Nutcracker’ themed pre-ice-skating warm-ups.
