This charming neighbourhood of cobbled streets and independent businesses offers a more agreeable alternative to the West End crowds, and in the run-up to Christmas the shops will be opening late on Wednesday evenings (they usually only open on Sundays alongside the flower market). Originally created as a Victorian shopping arcade some 150 years ago, this East End enclave of traders offers vintage fashions, quirky artworks, quality homewares and irresistible deli goods. There'll also be seasonal refreshments, music, entertainment and a few surprises.
