Feeling a little bit bah humbug? Can't stand the thought of hitting Westfield with the masses? Have no inspiration on what to buy a loved one? Then get yourself down to Columbia Road on a December Wednesday to feel some Christmas joy, find a beautiful gift from one of many independent shops whilst avoiding the crowds. The street is alive with Christmas; Spitalfields City Farm proving some donkeys and sheep, a giant Christmas tree, the sound of carols being sung by a local choir, people buying their Christmas trees all to the aroma of mulled wine. There really isn't a better place to do your Christmas shopping in London. Family friendly and a real festive atmosphere with a backdrop of delightful cottages, this is a London treasure.
