Time Out says

An enormous representation of the Magna Carta for the modern world commissioned by the British Library.

As part of the British Library's Magna Carta season, which marks the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the treaty, British artist Cornelia Parker has created a commission which responds to the document's legacy in the digital era. The embroidery is almost 13 metres long, 1.5 metres wide, and replicates the Magna Carta's Wikipedia article as it appeared on the charter's 799th anniversary. More than 200 prisoners, lawyers, civil rights campaigners, barons and MPs have helped to stitch the work, reflecting the communal activitiy that went into the Bayeux Tapestry. See the results for yourself in the British Library's front hall.
