Crowd Out

This London premiere of a new work by composer David Lang for 1,000 untrained voices will be performed at Arnold Circus Bandstand as part of the Spitalfields Music Summer Festival. Lang was inspired by football chants at the Emirates Stadium in Highbury to create this epic piece, which encompasses a wide range of public singing and chanting. There is still an opportunity to join the crowd for this performance as Spitalfields Music are running ‘speed learning’ sessions on June 19 (6.30-9.30pm), June 20 (6.30-8.30pm) and June 21 (from 9.45am); email crowdout@spitalfieldsmusic.org.uk or call 020 7377 0287 to join in. Among the performers will be local residents and school children.
