Time Out says

Find out what you're made of at this exhibition of photomicrographs, documenting the vivid colours and cellular and sub-cellular morphology of human tissue. The exhibition is co-curated by Marianne Hamel a forensic pathologist, and Nikki Johnson, a forensic photographer and aims to let visitors discover more about the role of forensic histology which is rarely depicted on the TV shows we're hooked on as a nation. A number of events accompany the show including a talk by Marianne Hamel called Hot Lights, Sharp Steel, Cold Flesh (Apr 15) which examines how medicinal examiners actually determine the cause and manner of death compared to how the media portrays the process. Bore-topsy (Apr 8) brings together a panel of expert pathologists to discuss the role of media in relation to pathology and whether t.v is making us bored of the subject. The final event, 50 Shades of Pathology (Apr 22) will see an evening dedicated to the exploration of the colours in pathology. 'Art Macabre Death Drawing' have teamed up with Barts for a drawing workshop themed around decomposition, histology and cause of death, where guests can sip on 'formaldehyde punch' while they sketch models and specimens. All drawing materials are provided. Please note: the exhibition is only open to the public during these evening events and on April 2nd and 9th between 1pm-4pm.
