[title]
With the help of their talkative, red-coated Yeoman Wardens, the Tower of London is one of the city's most magical days out. Thanks to some nifty Norman building (and a succession of paranoid royals who built even more walls thereafter), the 1000-year-old fortress still stands. Put yourselves right on the spot where key moments in British history really happened and then get stuck into some of the hands-on activities – like this one, running throughout the spring break. Watch as the massed guards fight off the Red Earl and his seige engines, find out what happened when Joanna Ferrour lead a peasant rebellion here, and hear how Sir Thomas Neville set his newly-invented cannons on the Tower's mighty walls. All are true stories, recreated here in a 35-minute show (at 11.30am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm). Even better, it's free to join in yourselves (included in the main entry price), so you and the kids can get hands-on as Tower's loyal troops!
