Time Out says

The London Wetland Centre is hosting a weekend in tribute to the odonata – dragonflies and damselflies – that have made their home in the shallow ponds and pools in Barnes. You should be able to spot a good few of the 22 species that live in the area, possibly even including the rare Hairy Dragonfly, which first bred at the centre in 2010. Don't worry if you can't tell them apart: members of the British Dragonfly Society will be on hand to help with identification, and knowledgeable dragonfly enthusiast Henry Curry will lead walks around the reserve and host short talks about these airborne insects. Activities are free with admission but booking is essential. Call 020 8409 4400 to reserve a place.
