Over ten days, London’s venues will be filled with the sounds of some of the most innovative and well-respected artists working in jazz and beyond for the prestigious EFG London Jazz Festival. With over 300 shows across more than 70 venues from the Barbican and Southbank Centre to independent jazz clubs like Cafe Oto and King’s Place, there’s a lot to pick from.
Look out for the ‘New Creations’ series bringing artists, composers and ensembles together to form new collaborations like ‘A tribute to Pharoah Sanders’, Makaya McCraven and the London Contemporary Orchestra and Angélique Kidjo. The ‘Jazz Visionaries’ series is full of acclaimed artists like Cory Henry and Josh Barry, Emma Rawicz and The Cookers. While the ‘Icon’ series sees major heroes of the genre take to the stage like Emeli Sandé, Norah Jones and the Charles Lloyd Ocean Trio. It’s going to be a big one.
