There's not much to say about this place. The location, next to the cable cars, is good. The food options are fine, but unmemorable. The space itself is bland. In short, it's a modern conference centre.

I went to Star Wars Celebration Europe here a few weekends ago, and while the space was a great size to host such an event, it was ridiculously hot and stuffy in there (see other posters' reviews). Considering that many people echoed that sentiment while my friends and I were there, you'd think that management would want to sort that out... anywho. A great setup for massive exhibitions such as this: lots of separated areas, stages, and of course a good selection of food and drink that I didn't think were crazy overpriced considering the nature of events held here. However, I'm wary of traveling there as it was a lot farther away from me than I was expecting (and I live in the east end). In spite of this, I'd return for another event!

Went there last October for MCM Comic Con. I had a great time, it's a very large place with many shops and facilities, and no problems with staff either. It does get quite packed with large events, meaning it can get a bit stuffy and hot occasionally. There's a lot of walking involved of course because of the sheer size of the place, which can be a great feature as well. Nevertheless, you can get stuff done and have a fun time as I have done on my past visits to the ExCeL. I always get back with lots of merch, happy and anticipating the next time I go there.

Good venue. Went to Cake and Bake show at the Excel Centre on 2nd October. Huge centre with lots of space, although the event itself seemed a bit crammed and got very hot at the busiest time of the day. Some great exhibitors though and we came home with respectably large bags of goodies! Lots of bars and restaurants en route back to the station too, which is conveniently close. Think they could do with better signage to the events though as it wasn't clear until we were pretty much at the ticket gate.. will visit next year if the Cake and Bake remains at this venue.
