The FIFA Women’s World Cup kicks off in France in June but there will be plenty of footy action in London too, thanks to the month-long Festival of Football. Organised by ace women’s team Goal Digggers FC, the festival is all about celebrating and encouraging women and non-binary people to play football at all levels. All proceeds will go to Football Beyond Borders and LGBT+ Youth Homeless Charity AKT. Expect panel discussions on everything from what makes a football fan to how organisations are using football to change society. There will also be film screenings, an exhibition, tournaments, taster days for beginners, comedy nights, screenings of the Women’s World Cup, plus the excellently named club night Murder on Zidane’s Floor. It's coming home!
