Festival of Neighbourhood: Queen's Walk Window Gardens

Nothing says 'neighbourhood' like allotments. With that in mind, the Southbank Centre, together with community organisation Wayward Plants, has installed a series of volunteer-run allotments along the riverside Queen's Walk alongside the Royal Festival Hall. The crop of nine allotment have been handmade from reclaimed wood and windows, while a further 200 window boxes are also being contructed and planted by green-fingered volunteers.
