In a bid to get the capital excited about astronomy, the Festival of the Planets crash lands in London with hundreds of astronomers, who will be on hand in various locations of the city. Some will be hosting organised stargazing in Regent's Park (Wed Sep 11), others will put on a space-themed variety performance at Bloomsbury Theatre (Thu Sep 12), or a sci-fi film night also at Bloomsbury Theatre (Tue Sep 10). There'll be exhibitions, art installations and public talks too.
