The concept behind 'First Timers Fest' is simple. It's about getting people who've never played music into music - especially women, disabled people, LGBTQIA+ people and people of colour. They want to address the imbalance in DIY music by setting up bands of novice strummers, singers and percussionists, and letting them loose on stage. Don't be afraid, there'll be a pro present, and no prior musical knowledge is necessary.
