For the Record: The Social Life of Indian Vinyl in Southall

An exhibition looking at Southall in the 1970s, one of the first places in the UK where Indian records of various genres could be discovered. Through film, photography and music, the show looks at the ways in which communities produced, broadcast, bought, sold, exchanged and discussed vinyl LPs, and their continuing significance among the Indian community.
