The people behind the Glasgow Commonwealth Games' fireworks, Titanium, are plotting the display for Fortismere School this bonfire night, so you can be sure of an impressive spectacle. Carters Steam Fair will bring rides and games, and there'll be hot food and a bar. Tickets can be bought in advance for £5.

A lovely local event, we go every year. A great combination of fairground rides and food stalls, with hot chocolate and mulled wine on offer to warm chilly fingers. The evening culminates in a fantastic firework display accompanied by a chorus of oohs and aahs. Highly recommended.

Fabulous. Atmosphere was friendly and the swinging seats rides was a big hit with the kids.

Very organised, lots of security, great music and my first cup of mulled wine of the season.

Good show guys. Will book again next year.

A great event - so much more than a typical school display: food and drink stalls; fairground rides; and fantastic fireworks by Titanium who did the Rugby World Cup 2015. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed the display at a famous landmark up the road last year, but Thursday's show at Fortismere was much much better. More accessible by public transport and with the feel of a community celebration rather than a corporate event. The fireworks were brilliant and not obscured by trees or crowds of people. As an added bonus you can see every other display in North London, so you get more bang for your bucks. Great variety of food, drink and entertainment and excellent organisation, We'll be back!

I feel like I was at a different firework night to 2 the reviews below this. We loved it! The fireworks were brilliant, there was lots of food (Burgers, Chinese and Caribbean stalls, a Hog Roast, a great doughnut stand and good music. There was a bar which served beer and mulled wine and an excellent hot chocolate stall which had all the trimmings, marshmallow and cream, and rum for over 21's.  Also, there was Carter's Steam Fayre rides. we didn't use them but there was plenty of screaming going on - I guess the rides were good. Our original plan was to go for Pizza afterwards, but we didn't need to. All in all, the atmosphere was great and we will definitely go again.

Bit of a let down, rather amateurish and boring and more interested in taking as much of your money as possible, rather than giving a good experience. That said the rides were all right although being expensive.

I found this to be a pretty dull display and badly organised last year. Personally, I'd recommend avoiding it as there are far better ones in the area.
