Why go?
This Islington city farm gets its unusual name from its original story: it started back in 1972, when Camden Council let community groups start projects on disused railway land, including an old freight distribution yard. It kept its name when it moved to its current, more peaceful premises in Islington, where it's become a well-loved local spot for animal lovers.
It has a focus on rare and traditional breeds, meaning you'll see Golden Guernsey goats, Dexter Cows and Herdwick sheep, as well as a fancifully-feathered crew of chickens and ducks, plus rabbits who you'll get to stroke if you're lucky.
Don't miss:
The farm gate shop sells work by local artists, including handmade scarves, prints, and children's books.
