Time Out says

Friendly warning! We're working hard to be accurate. But these are unusual times, so please check that venues remain open.

Set in Britain’s woods and forests, Go Ape centres are fantastic places for monkeying around in the treetops.

Go Ape Cockfosters says
You really can escape the busy London life without travelling too far at our North London Cockfosters location. This is high rise fun, without the high rise London backdrop - while being just five minutes' walk from the tube! Swap the rooftop bar for the treetops this Autumn and come have a play on over 30 crossings, rope bridges, and zip lines.

This course is great for guiding you in as it starts low and builds up. Once the confidence is soaring you’re all set for the highest course in the South East which is also home to the longest and fastest zip wire in London and two huge, free-fall Tarzan Swings.

Cockfosters Go Ape lies in Trent Country Park, close to Enfield, just 5 minutes walk from the tube and close to the M25 (free parking is a bonus too - that's pretty hard to come by in London!) Immerse yourself in 413-acres of extensive woodland, rolling meadows, enchanting brooks and imposing historical sites.

Once you’ve victoriously tackled the highest Go Ape course in the South East, you can see what the beautiful park has to offer. Bring the bikes and head out on the cycle routes or if you prefer to explore on foot there are a couple of walking routes that incorporate a number of the park’s historic memorials.

It’s not all grown up fun – children get a look in too at Trent Country Park. There are two brilliant wooden play areas – one which caters to toddlers and one especially for the juniors.
