If you're looking for something a bit different to do, Go Boat is a gorgeous alternative to the classic picnic in the park.
Grab some snacks (and maybe a bottle or two!) and set off!
You have two hours to explore the Regents Canal, either with one driver the whole way or taking turns with another person (which is what we did) and it's definitely easier than you think it would be! It definitely takes a while to get the hang of it, but once you do, it's plain sailing. (literally!)
You pass through Little Venice, London Zoo and The Floating Chinese restaurant on your trip which is especially pretty at the moment will all the blossom around.
It's the perfect way to spend a sunny summers day in London, and I've already booked to go again for a friend's birthday in few weeks!
This is such a fun way to explore the city. We had sunshine & a couple of showers on our trip, but we didn't let it dampen our spirits & still had a great time. Go Boat is a 'drive your own' boat experience. You can have one captain, or take turn between two of you. We cruised up the canal from Paddington Basin on a two hour trip, which took us up to the floating Chinese restaurant past Regents Park & back. Along the way you take in sights like Little Venice, Maida Vale Tunnel & London Zoo. Perfect for a Summer's day & very reasonable if there are a few of you, plus it's ideal to BYO picnic & drink.
Will definitely look to go again :)
Picnic on this open aired cute little self drive boat on a great weather day would certainly make you smile. Starting from Paddington we cruised along the canal passing through Little Venice and serene Regent's Park. Driving the boat was a bit tricky at the beginning but one could get used to it after some practice. Great company, serene canal, spotting colorful birds and beautiful villas from the boat made it an experience to remember. Go Boat is a totally recommended activity in London.
I had the chance to join my friends on GoBoat over the weekend and had a blast! What a fun idea putting about the water between the Paddington Basin and Camden. We had amazing weather and enjoyed our drinks and nibbles on boat. This is such a fab idea for a birthday, hen do or family day out. I highly recommend booking as it wont disappoint.
We were looking for a fun place to have a brunch, we found it with GoBoat! GoBoats can sit up to 8 people for 1, 2 or 3 hours and you are free to take food and drinks on it so you can eat while sailing through the beautiful canals of Paddington and Little Venice. We all really loved it, doing it during autumn also means that you can witness the change of colors of trees along the way and enjoy it without being too cold. Highly recommended!
Wow what can I say but this is a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of London life. Also a unique way to have a picnic rather than in a park. So if you love boats and in particular love the Paddington and Camden area then this is the ride for you. It has a electronic motor and you can ride yourself for a very cheap cost for as many hours as you like (cost dependent) up Little Venice canal all the way up to Camden. There is a picnic table in the middle very large to sit around 8 people. Plus you can feed ducks duck food that is supplied by the staff of GoBoat along your way. It most certainly is the most relaxing and most romantic ride you can have be it with your partner or friends such a cool way to experience London whilst eating and having maybe even a glass of wine.
