The annual service at which clowns, dressed in full costume, gather to honour the king of the clowns, Joseph Grimaldi (1778-1837), will be conducted by the Revs Rose Hudson-Wilkin and clown chaplain Roly Bain. After the colourful service and wreath-laying, clowning memorabilia will be on sale for half an hour, then a free clown show takes place in the school hall over the road. The Clowns Museum will be open for viewing for 45min after the end of the service (the museum is currently located in Haggerston Road, opposite All Saints Church, although it will soon close for relocation). Arrive early to get a seat – it's a popular event and the church often overflows.
