Got the post-Notting Hill Carnival blues? Head east for feathers, sequins, booming beats and impressive dance routines at Hackney Carnival.
This year the colourful parade of nearly 1000 performers will proceed along a brand new route from Mare Street to Graham Road, Queensbridge Road, Pownall Road and Trederwen Road, ending at Lansdowne Drive.
Party along to sound systems in St John’s Churchyard, Bohemia Place and Hackney Town Hall Square and tuck into food from the dozens of street food stalls along the route. There'll also be kids' play areas in all of the main locations, as well live music at St John's and carnival judging at Hackney Town Hall.
Whoever said Notting Hill had all the Carnival fun?
