Once upon a time, in a city that hides countless mysteries and hidden surprises, a selection of intrepid Londoners were invited to take part in a quest through the streets of South Kensington. An evil witch sought out the sharp-minded, the competitive and the adventurous to solve a series of clues, leading the teams into majestic venues and along secret shortcuts in an attempt to discover who was truly the wisest of them all.
On their journeys they crossed paths with enigmatic strangers, whispered passwords, collected evidence and combined forces to discover a magical mirror in, er, a room above a pub. The teams who succeeded in solving the mirror’s riddle were rewarded and lived happily ever after, going on the tell their friends of their cryptic adventure.
If you feel bold enough to gather your most trusted companions and to take on the witch’s challenge now is your chance, for masters of the clue-solving treasure trail Hidden City have resurrected it. Depending on the number of taverns you are enticed by along the way it will take between two and four hours to complete the three-mile route to the mirror. Teams may set off at any time between 10am and 2pm on the day of their booking, and while the clues are aimed at adults there’s no reason that children can’t join the fun. Take to the streets for a fairytale adventure that will open up parts of the city you never knew existed.
