Time Out says

Step into Christmas past at this free late at the beautiful Museum of the Home. It’s a chance to see the museum’s brilliant ‘Rooms Through Time’ exhibits, which display a sequence of typical middle-class living rooms based on real London homes dating from 1600 to the present – from a Victorian parlour to a loft-style Shoreditch apartment owned by a gay couple in 1998 – all decorated for Christmas as they would have been in that time period. Explore after-hours, with a cup of hot chocolate or mulled wine in hand. Stay for crafts, carols and even candlelit almshouse tours.
