Before Halloween turned into a trick-or-treating, sexy cat outfit, candy fest, it was actually marked as the night before All Hallows’ Day, when people paid their respects to the dead and thought a spiritual bond existed between the living and those in heaven. Ignota Books, a publishing project set up in Peru, are gathering for a evening of readings, rituals and music on the day when the living and the dead are supposedly closer than ever.
