Illuminations at Lit!

Giant glowing puppets careering across a park and an illuminated parade will be lighting up teh already beautiful Beckenham Place Park for this light festival, fitting named ‘Lit!’. Also brightening up the shortest days of the year will be the South London Samba band, a choir and community performances from local choreographer Natasha Khamjani. Best of all it’s completely free to join the sparkling antics, and they’ll be warming food and drink on hand to keep away that winter chill. Head along for 6.30pm on Dec 20 and 21 to get the best view of the lights. Or, opt for an illuminated Solstice swim in the park’s charming swimming lake from 4pm on Dec 21.
