Time Out says

April is a particularly good time to get to know songbirds by their sounds, as they declare their territories and attempt to attract a mate – often hidden away in the dense foliage of trees or reedbeds. In this session you'll learn how to identify birds through song; you're likely to hear a number of garden bird species such as blackbirds and robins, as well as wetland specialities like Cetti's warbler and lapwing. By the end of the course you should be able to identify ten key species. Booking is essential via 020 8409 4400.
