Jón Gnarr: How I Became the Mayor of a Large City in Iceland and Changed the World

In 2010, the people of Reykjavík, still reeling from their country's collapse in the global financial crisis of 2008, elected a man with no previous political experience as their mayor. That man was Jón Gnarr, whose life up to that point encompassed teenage rebellion, anarchist punk and starring in hit comedy 'The Night Shift'.
