Dishoom Loves Market is an ode to South Asian crafts, culture and cuisine. By day, it will fill the Old Street railway arches will with stalls selling jewellery, skincare, artwork, homewares and publications from South Asian small businesses like Pavan Beauty, Anisha Parmar Studio, Fable and Mans and Shreeji Newsagents. After the sun goes down, Dishoom’s Permit Room will be taken over by vinyl DJs, host an art exhibition and hold games of carrom with prizes up for grabs. Across the weekend there’ll also be a wide offering of artsy workshops, comedy shows, an appearance from Riz Ahmed discussing his new film adaptation of Hamlet (you’ll need to book those in advance) and, of course, loads of Dishoom street food. If all of that’s not enough to entice you, there’ll also be complimentary cups of warm chai.Â
