Time Out says

This sleepover at Kew Palace, starting at 6pm on September 27 and ending at 8.30am the next morning, is the perfect night out for kids aged seven to 11 with a passion for history. Arriving at the palace as the sun sets, they’ll be treated to an evening of activities. The conceit is that they’re preparing for the arrival of the King (George III, who, as well as being incarcerated at the palace during episodes of illness, used to spend happy holidays at there with his family). Make-up and dancing lessons, cookery and a spooky torch-lit tour are all part of the mix. Afterwards kids will bed down on mats in the King’s dining room. As well as their own sleeping bags, they’ll need an obliging adult to accompany them (one for every five children) and some supper to stop their tummies rumbling in the night (breakfast’s provided). Spaces are limited so early booking’s recommended for this right royal overnighter.
