Lambeth Country Show

Time Out says

The Lambeth Country Show has brought countryside pursuits to Brockwell Park for the last 45 years. The 2019 instalment will once again feature a homegrown veg-carving competition, sheep-shearing, sheepdog and owl displays, an on site mini farm and lots, lots more. Live music will be heard from two stages over the weekend, too

Craft beer, cider, catering from around the world, homemade cakes and other refreshments will be on sale, and – as ever – entry is free. More than 100,000 people descended on Lambeth for the show last year, so expect to be elbowing your way through the crowds. Final entry time is 7.30pm. You are welcome to take your own food with you, but alcohol is not permitted. Searching will be in operation on entry, so try and avoid peak entry times between 3-5pm.

This festival was B-rilliant. The setting is beautiful for starters but add to that brilliant organisation, food from anywhere and everywhere in the world, craft beers, old school country fair competitions (vegetable carvings, scarecrow competition, flower arranging), different zones to suit everyone and a wicked cross section of Londoners and you have yourself a great day out. I am already planning my vegetable carving masterpiece for next years show.

Relly good festival, and free. Bring your children with you and enjoy wiuth the birds, dogs and justing shows. The park isbig enough to find a spot.
