This most classy of picnics will see 1,500 people dressed head-to-toe in white sit down for dinner in a public space (which will remain secret until the very last minute). It's all very exclusive and clandestine: more than 10,000 Londoners are already on the waiting list, but only a fraction will be able to come. Want to throw your name in the ring? Guests must bring a table, white chairs and white tablecloth, a picnic basket filled with fine food and white tableware, and wine or champagne to drink – beer and spirits clearly aren't classy enough for this gig. The evening will also involve some flashmob-style moments as the whole crowd waves tablecloths at the same time, and when sparklers are lit before the dancing starts. At the end of the evening guests will pack up and clear away all their leftovers to make sure there's no sign of the event left behind. Ghostly.
