To celebrate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta more than 200 tea parties will take place across the UK. The events will include street parties, picnics, screenings, fairs and dances, but the thing they have in common will be the chance to clink your teacups in a tribute to the freedoms and rights enshrined in the historic document. At 3pm many local churches will ring their bells, as the 15th also happens to be Great Ringing Day. There are around 70 events in London and many of them are free.
