On Friday March 20 the biggest solar eclipse since 1999 will be visible from the UK, followed on Monday September 28 by a total lunar eclipse (the moon will turn blood red as it passes through the earth's shadow). At this talk, award-winning author, broadcaster and lecturer Ian Ridpath (who knows so much about astronomy and space that he edits the Oxford Dictionary of Astronomy) will be explaining the cause of these rare events and what you can expect to see.
