[title]
European explorers have always been drawn to the Arctic, and in particular the sea route along the northern coast of North America known as the Northwest Passage. This exhibition of maps, letters, photography and artefacts looks at early expeditions' experiences and the effect they had on the Arctic's indigenous peoples. It includes Inuit accounts of the explorers, early photographs from the trips and even a history of the North Pole's most famous inhabitant, Father Christmas.
